
Megan Christiansen joined the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office as Deputy Director for the Administrative Division in November 1997. She also serves as the agency’s Budget Director.
During her twenty-six year career with the State of Wisconsin, Megan has held management positions in several agencies, including appointments as a Senior Analyst in the State Budget Office; Chief of Planning and Budget for the Wisconsin State Patrol; Associate Controller for the University of Wisconsin System; and Administrator of the Management Services Division of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Program for Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University.
