
Megan Christiansen joined the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office as Deputy Director for Administration in November 1997. She is the Deputy Director of the Administrative Division and serves as the agency’s budget director.
During her twenty-four year career with the State of Wisconsin, Megan has held management positions in several agencies, including appointments as a Senior Analyst in the State Budget Office; Chief of Planning and Budget for the Wisconsin State Patrol; Associate Controller for the University of Wisconsin System; and Administrator of the Management Services Division of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Program for Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University.
