
Krista started her service with the State of Wisconsin in 1989 working for the Wisconsin Supreme Court/Court of Appeals as a Court Information Clerk; from 1995-1997 she worked for the Department of Corrections; and since 1997 has worked for the Wisconsin State Public Defender (SPD).
Krista is responsible for the agency's legislative strategy and contacts as well as assisting in operational and management issues for the agency. She is also a key player in the biennial budget process as well as other agency initiatives. She has also been instrumental in coordinating many initiatives for the agency such as the SPD Leadership Development Program, Wisconsin Cares About Kids Award and the Wisconsin Veteran's Intervention Project (WI-VIP). Krista was recognized as a 2009 Woman in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal for her work on these issues and initiatives.
Krista attended Highland Community College, Freeport, IL, 1984-1986; Edgewood College- American Institute of Paralegal Studies, paralegal certification, Madison, WI, 1988; and the Executive Leadership Program, Duke University, Raleigh/Durham North Carolina, 1999.
She is a past member (served 3 terms) of the Office of Lawyer Regulation Board of Administrative Oversight.
