Gina M. Pruski Gina M. Pruski began her career with the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office in 1992 as a trial attorney in the Fond du Lac office. In 1995, she was promoted to Deputy Legal Counsel in Madison where she handled employment law and personnel-related matters and also served as the agency's liaison to the Wisconsin Legislature. In 2000, she transferred the agency's Office of Training and Development and in 2004, she was appointed Training Director. In addition to her duties as Training Director, Gina is the editor of the Wisconsin Defender, the agency's on-line legal journal.

Gina received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989 and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1992. She is also a graduate of Duke University's Strategic Leadership for State Executives Program.

Gina is co-author of the Wisconsin Juvenile Law Handbook (1st and 2nd editions), published by the State Bar of Wisconsin. She also wrote the juvenile law chapters of the State Bar's Annual Survey of Wisconsin Law in 1996, 1997, and 1998.

Gina was a state reviewer for the Federal Child and Family Services Review in August 2003. She serves on various committees, including the Child Welfare Executive Steering Committee and the Children in Need Task Force. She is a member of the Wisconsin State Training Council and was elected Vice-Chair for 2009 and serves as Chair for 2010. She also regularly volunteers as a moot court judge for the University of Wisconsin Law School.
