The State Public Defenders Office's Experts database is for use by SPD staff or private bar attorneys assigned to SPD cases. Username and password are required for access. To obtain authentication information contact Sue Lalk at email or call (608) 267-1771.

The databaseis laid out geographically to make it easier for you to find experts near you. It will contain only experts previously used in an SPD case and thus have worked for our rates in the past.

From the main page select the county you would like to find an expert in. Search by Name, Expertise, Specialization, or a combination of Expertise and Specialization. You can expand your search by selecting neighboring counties, Searching Statewide, Out of state, or the entire database.

Expertise and Specialization searches will be done with a set list of keywords available from drop down menus. If none of the keywords seem to be appropriate select "Other". All entries not defined by one of the keywords will be listed as Other.
